Lisa Farrar began her professional career over 25 years ago in the mortgage banking industry. With a demanding career and hectic schedule, she embraced a healthy lifestyle and balance through physical activity and exercise that included martial arts, cycling, strength training, and yoga. Retiring from the financial services industry in 2009, she was ready to pursue a second career.
After discovering barre fitness, Lisa had an opportunity to take a Karve class where she met Karve founder Kendra Jordan. Karve took her fitness practice to a new level and she was immediately hooked. This was the inspiration and also the pivotal point in her fitness evolution. Training to become a Karve instructor intensified her desire to inspire and encourage others to achieve their fitness goals. The positive personal outcome of her efforts propelled her to the realization that she wanted to shape her love of fitness into her life journey and new career. She opened Karve Studio Gilbert in July 2012.
Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, the Karve Method of barre fitness creator and developer Kendra Jordan, has over 10 years of fitness, Pilates, Sport Medicine, and athletic experience, she holds a degree in Kinesiology, and a Master’s in Sport Management from the University of San Francisco.
